Checking a partner
Who you are about to sign with, checked against the public record before money moves.
Why it decides the outcome
A contract is only as good as the party behind it. A supplier, a distributor or a landlord can look solid and still carry tax problems, a missing power of attorney or a record of disputes. The public record shows much of this before any money moves; learning it afterwards is expensive.
What we look at
- The company’s tax ID (RFC) and its status with the SAT
- Whether it appears on the SAT’s list of companies invoicing simulated operations (article 69-B)
- Its articles of incorporation and powers of attorney, in the Public Registry of Commerce
- Its tax compliance opinion, and its standing with social security
- Court and arbitration records, where they are public
- Trademarks and patents at the IMPI, when the deal touches your brand or design
- For a landlord: the property registry, and whether the land is ejido
- Sanctions and blocked-persons lists, in Mexico and in the USA
- For a service provider: its entry in the REPSE register

It starts in writing
Write to us: who you are, what you need and the decision in front of you. We read it and reply in writing: whether it fits, what we need from you, and the fee. We give no opinion until we have read your case, and every figure in our assessment carries its source and its date.
